We are seeking an enthusiastic Nursery Teacher to join our inclusive and supportive primary school in Reading from January 2026. This permanent position is open to both full‑time and part‑time applicants and offers the potential for a TLR for subject or phase leadership for the right candidate.

The Role

Position: Nursery Teacher
Location: Reading, Berkshire
Start Date: January 2026
Contract: Permanent – Full‑Time or Part‑Time considered
TLR: Available for subject or phase leadership (for the right candidate)

As our Nursery Teacher, you will:

  • Lead a nurturing nursery class that fosters independence and imagination
  • Deliver a rich, play-based curriculum rooted in the EYFS framework
  • Observe, assess, and plan effectively for each child’s development
  • Build strong, positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • (If applicable) Lead a subject area or phase, contributing to whole-school development
What We’re Looking For
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent)
  • Experience in EYFS or nursery provision
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and child-led learning
  • Creativity, warmth, and enthusiasm for supporting early development
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to take on subject or phase leadership (if seeking a TLR)
