Field Service Engineer

Position: Field Service Engineer (Permanent)
We’re hiring for a Field Service Engineer to support mobile, vehicle-mounted machinery across the South of England, with Reading acting as the central hub for this role.

This is a practical, field-based role focused on maintaining and repairing specialist mobile equipment on site.

What’s on offer?

* £42k - £45k p/a

* Mon – Fri | 8am – 5pm

* 45 hour week

* Door-to-door pay (standard rate weekdays)

* Overtime paid at 1.5x on Saturdays

* 24 days holiday + bank holidays

* Company vehicle provided (racked & equipped)

* Fuel card

* One overnight stay per week on average (hotel costs covered)

* £25 daily allowance when working away

* 5% pension contribution

* Profit-related bonus (EOT scheme)

What will you be doing as a Field Service Engineer?

* Providing day-to-day warehouse administration support

* Updating records accurately using warehouse or inventory systems

* Supporting stock control, inventory tracking, and order processing

* Handling emails, paperwork and internal communication

* Liaising with warehouse teams to ensure information is up to date

* Using Excel, Word, and Outlook for reporting and admin tasks

* Helping keep warehouse operations running smoothly

What will you need?

* Previous experience in a field service, plant, mobile engineering, or mechanical repair role

* A full UK driving licence

* Comfortable working independently and travelling for work
