Design Lead

Mott Mac Donald Bentley (MMB) is looking for a Lead Design Engineer to deliver a range of water and wastewater infrastructure projects on our Thames Water Framework in the Thames Valley Region.

MMB continues to successfully deliver our AMP 7 projects and is preparing to move into AMP 8 delivery with Thames Water. We are looking for people with the knowledge, experience, and drive to take this forward.

• A project portfolio through to the end of AMP 8
• An agile working arrangement that provides flexibility while ensuring effective project delivery.
• The ability to develop and grow your design team from a successful platform.
• A key role in the wider regional team working closely with our other design leads.

• Lead your team in the delivery of designs suitable for our construction teams, working closely with commercial and operational counterparts.
• Provide direction to the team, including oversight of project controls, and ensuring compliance with quality, programme, and cost requirements.
• Ensure the client’s Asset Standards are applied correctly to the projects while driving efficiencies through challenging and promoting good practice from other areas of the business.
• Work closely with the client’s Engineers to deliver our target project portfolio and remain a trusted partner.
• Analyse project performance and identify risks that may impact project delivery.
• Embed a positive and honest environment for your team where everyone is challenged and encouraged to reach their potential.

• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer
• Experience in water or wastewater design.
• Experience of leading and developing a design team.
• Experience and knowledge of the Designer and Principal Designer duties under CDM 2015.
