RME Mechatronics Apprentice – Launch Your Engineering Career
As Amazon’s world‑leading technology business, you will work with automation, robotics, and continuous innovation. You will become a multi‑skilled maintenance technician in both electrical and mechanical disciplines, gaining hands‑on experience with industry‑leading equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out reactive repairs and fault diagnosis in a live distribution warehouse
  • Using the latest tools to maximise equipment effectiveness
  • Making modifications and upgrades to existing equipment
  • Upholding health and safety policies and practices

Information About The Program

The apprenticeship begins with a full‑time residential programme for the first 12 months, either at an external training provider or Amazon’s training centres. Accommodation and travel expenses are supported for those who live outside commutable distance. Subsequent years combine on‑the‑job training with block‑release study for an HNC in Engineering or Mechatronics. You will support Amazon’s 24/7 operation with shift patterns that reflect real‑world engineering schedules.

Throughout the apprenticeship, you will learn fault diagnosis, preventative maintenance, fluid power system assembly, mechanical and electrical maintenance, hydraulics and pneumatics, PLC operations, CAD design, 3D printing, and general site maintenance.

Amazon values diversity and inclusion. Employee‑led affinity groups support women in tech, LGBTQ+ employees, and under‑represented minorities. We are committed to building a workforce that reflects the customers and communities we serve.
