Arboriculture Consultant - Reading
Arboriculture Consultant – a well‑established, multidisciplinary environmental consultancy is looking for a passionate and knowledgeable professional to join its growing arboriculture team near Reading. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects across the UK – from major infrastructure schemes to bespoke residential developments.

The successful candidate will work within a supportive team of arboricultural and ecological experts, contributing to a wide range of projects in both the public and private sectors.
Responsibilities- Undertake tree surveys to BS5837:2012
- Prepare high‑quality arboricultural reports and impact assessments
- Liaise with clients, local planning authorities, and design teams
- Provide expert arboricultural advice to support planning applications
- Assist with tree protection strategies and mitigation measures
- Support senior consultants with project management and delivery
- Degree or diploma in Arboriculture or a related subject
- Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in a consultancy or similar role
- Proficient in tree identification and surveying
- Knowledge of BS5837:2012 and relevant planning legislation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Membership of the Arboricultural Association or progress toward it desirable
- Proficiency in CAD or GIS systems advantageous but not essential
You will be working within a multi‑disciplinary team, alongside ecologists, landscape architects, and environmental consultants. With a focus on quality, innovation, and collaboration, the role supports clients in achieving responsible and sustainable development outcomes.
