, we create technology that protects critical infrastructure and makes electric power safer and more reliable worldwide. We are looking for an experienced Application Engineer - Protection to join our team in Reading and play a key role in supporting customers and advancing technical excellence.

• Develop deep expertise in power systems
  , your focus area, and SEL products.
• Support customers through technical visits, demonstrations, training, and remote support
  .
• Solve complex engineering challenges with practical, innovative solutions
  .
• Contribute to product development, application software, and technical documentation
  .
• Deliver and develop SEL University training and share knowledge at industry events.
• Act as a technical advisor and mentor
  , promoting SEL values and continuous improvement.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• 8+ years of experience in power systems or related applications.
• Strong communication, training, and customer‑facing skills.
• Ability to work independently, collaborate globally, and travel as required
