Transport Planner

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Transport Planner to join our busy Transport Planning team in Reading on a permanent basis.

Location:

Reading, permanent.

This role involves delivering transport planning projects across the Thames Valley and wider South of England, working with multidisciplinary teams (civil engineering, flood risk, utilities, environmental planning and master planning) to deliver integrated development strategies from early‑stage land promotion to planning consent and delivery.

• Produce and support technical output of transportation projects, including Transport Assessments, Travel Plans and other transport studies.
• Provide technical analysis and support to the wider regional team.
• Collaborate with clients, design teams, local authorities and the general public.
• Mentor and support junior team members.

Degree qualified in transportation, geography, engineering or a related field.

Experience with Transport Assessments, Travel Planning and junction modelling/analysis; familiarity with relevant software packages.

Strong numerical skills and experience of budget and quality management at project level.

Ideally pursuing a professional qualification such as Chartered Transport Planning Professional.
