Senior Data Engineer

We're looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our growing Data team and play a key role in building a modern, scalable data platform that drives decision-making across the business.

As a Senior Data Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, developing and optimising our enterprise data platform.

• Design and build scalable ELT/ETL pipelines using Microsoft Fabric
• Help evolve and optimise our data warehouse architecture
• Transform legacy and spreadsheet-driven processes into automated, governed data solutions
• Develop robust data models to support analytics and business intelligence
• Champion data quality, governance, security and compliance best practices
• Implement monitoring, observability and automated testing to improve platform reliability
• Drive engineering excellence through CI/CD, version control and Data Ops practices
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Mentor and support other engineers while helping shape the future of our data function

We're interested in engineers who combine strong technical expertise with a genuine passion for solving complex business problems through data.

You’ll ideally have:

• Strong experience building and maintaining production‑grade data platforms
• Advanced SQL and Python development skills
• Experience designing scalable data pipelines and data architectures
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and methodologies
• Experience working with cloud technologies (Azure, AWS or GCP)
• Knowledge of data governance, security and quality frameworks
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience driving technical improvements and engineering best practices

• Dimensional Modelling, Data Vault or hybrid modelling techniques
• Experience mentoring engineers or leading technical initiatives
