Burghfield, Reading (3 days/week on site)
Contract Duration: 12 Months
Daily Rate: £63.57/hr (Umbrella)

Security Clearance: DV clearance

Essential:

Proven experience leading engineering delivery within complex, highly regulated or safety-critical environments.
Strong understanding of engineering governance, technical assurance and design management principles.
Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and external engineering suppliers.
Knowledge of engineering lifecycle management, configuration control and change control processes.
Ability to influence stakeholders and provide technical leadership across multiple disciplines.
Experience balancing safety, quality, cost and schedule considerations in engineering decision-making.
Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Experience of working on large construction projects in a nuclear / highly regulated environment
Candidate should ideally have electrical / C+I background.
Should have some commercial knowledge to ensure suppliers are being held to account on deliverables
Some technical knowledge to interpret drawings.
Desirable:

Background in Electrical, Control and Instrumentation (EC&I) engineering or management of EC&I-focused delivery programmes.

Experience with in Safety or Assurance focused role
Experience working within nuclear, defence, pharmaceutical, chemical processing, power generation or other highly regulated industries.
Familiarity with safety case development, regulatory interfaces and compliance management.
Chartered Engineer status or working towards professional registration
