Overview

We are seeking an experienced Product Delivery Manager with a strong Safety Engineering background to lead the delivery of digital safety capabilities within a complex aerospace or defence programme. You will work across engineering, IT, and supplier organisations to deliver safety engineering tool chains and drive Digital Engineering best practices in a regulated, safety-critical environment.

Essential Skills & Experience

10+ years' Safety Engineering experience within aerospace, defence, or another safety-critical industry.
Degree in Systems Engineering, Safety Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
Proven experience delivering digital Safety Engineering capabilities and tool chains.
Strong understanding of Model-Based Safety Engineering, Digital Thread, and end-to-end safety traceability.

Experience with hazard analysis techniques (FHA, FMEA/FMECA, FTA, STPA, Bow-Tie), safety requirements management, safety architecture, verification & validation, safety case development, configuration management, and Product Line Engineering (PLE)/variant management.
Knowledge of relevant industry standards including ARP
4754A, ARP
4761A, DO-178C, DO-254, IEC 61508, ISO 26262, and MIL-STD-882E.
Experience working across multi-supplier environments with strong stakeholder management and delivery leadership skills.
Active SC clearance is essential.

Desirable

SAFe Agile certification or experience.

Experience with IBM DOORS NG, Safety Case/Assurance Case tools, and OSLC interoperability.
Knowledge of Digital Twin, co-simulation, and fault injection.
Experience supporting distributed engineering teams.
