New Orbit Space seeks a seasoned Mechanical Design Engineer to own the mechanical architecture of satellite structures and mechanisms. You will translate requirements into manufacturable designs, create CAD models, drawings, and interface documents, and validate through prototyping and environmental testing.
Collaborating with cross-functional engineers, you will lead design reviews and optimize for weight, cost, and reliability, while supporting on-orbit operations and supplier engagement.
