The Opportunity
Join our 2027 Graduate Programme as a Graduate Electrical Engineer in our Reading office, where you'll be part of a market-leading Buildings discipline.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative Building Services team, working within local teams of around 20 engineers in Reading and 15-20 in London, with the support of a national network of 100+ professionals. As a Graduate Electrical Engineer, you'll work closely with Mechanical and Sustainability Engineers to develop innovative building designs, while collaborating with Structural Engineers, Architects and other specialist disciplines to deliver integrated solutions across a diverse range of projects.
You’ll gain exposure to a diverse portfolio of projects across the commercial, industrial, residential, healthcare and mission critical sectors, contributing to projects throughout the full lifecycle and developing your technical expertise alongside experienced mentors.

About The Role
As a Graduate Electrical Engineer you'll be:
Supporting the design of electrical systems (e.g. lighting, power, security, fire detection and alarms), including basic calculations, system layouts and schematics.
Producing and updating drawings and models in CAD/Revit to develop coordinated building services designs.
Assisting with interdisciplinary coordination with architects, structural and mechanical engineers.
Attending design and project meetings, contributing and learning from senior engineers.
Supporting site visits, surveys, and inspections to understand installation and real-world constraints.
Preparing technical documentation, calculations, and reports while developing knowledge of standards and regulations
We are committed to supporting employees in achieving relevant professional qualifications and accreditation.
The applicable professional qualification for this role is with the
CIBSE or IET.

About You
At Stantec, we value your potential over past experience. Along with a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in BEng Electrical Engineering or Building Services, a knowledge of Microsoft 365 / Office / AutoCAD and a keen interest in working in the Buildings sector, you'll be:
