Role Overview Global HSE Group is looking for an Advanced Fire Risk Assessor to join our growing team and deliver high-quality fire risk assessments and fire safety consultancy services across the UK. This is a client-facing role involving Fire Risk Assessments, technical advice, project management and supporting clients with their ongoing fire safety responsibilities. You will work across a variety of sectors and building types, alongside our wider fire safety and technical teams.
Willingness to travel and stay away from home as required.
Key Responsibilities Carry out Fire Risk Assessments for clients in accordance with PAS 79 and relevant fire safety guidance Undertake or lead higher-risk, complex or technically challenging fire risk assessments where these fall within demonstrated competence Produce clear, accurate and professional FRA reports with practical recommendations Manage Fire Risk Assessment projects from planning through to completion, ensuring work is delivered accurately and on time Develop and produce Fire Safety Management Documentation to meet client and regulatory requirements Support clients in responding to enforcement action from Fire & Rescue Authorities, HSE and other relevant enforcing authorities Maintain accurate CPD records and participate in professional development Requirements Full UK driving licence Level 4 Fire Risk Assessment qualification and working towards level 5 IFE or IFSM membership (or working towards) Demonstrable experience undertaking Fire Risk Assessments Strong understanding of the FRA process, fire safety legislation, and building regulations Knowledge of building construction and building techniques Good understanding of health and safety legislation
Experience with PAS 79, BS 9991, BS 9999, Approved Document B, LACORS Experience assessing residential, commercial or higher-risk buildings Knowledge of Scottish, Welsh and Northern Irish fire safety guidance Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
