Overview

UPP partners with universities to provide facilities management services that support building safety and high quality student life. We are recruiting a Senior Hall Rep to join the Reading team. Candidates must be current university students who are living or have previously lived in the University Halls of Residence and must be available to attend a compulsory training session (date to be confirmed).

Responsibilities
  • Attend and participate in training, staff meetings and other meetings relevant to the role.
  • Assist with administration related to events, including inputting attendance data and responding to student queries.
  • Contribute to the social media marketing of events and activities.
  • Contribute event ideas during planning and assist with organisation.
  • Lead a minimum of one event per week, including setting up the event, registering attendance, leading the activity and addressing queries.
  • Ensure events are conducted safely in line with health and safety policies.
  • Gather feedback from attendees and assess events accordingly.
  • Attend relevant training provided by UPP and its partners.
  • Be a trusted part of the halls community by acting as a point of contact for students and informing staff of issues within the halls of residence.
Requirements
  • Great communication and organisational skills, with experience in running or working at events.
  • A passion for teamwork and delivering excellent results.
  • Flexibility to work additional hours with notice, including evenings and some weekends.
