Payroll Executive

Working within a larger team, you will ensure accurate and timely outsourced payroll production for various clients in accordance with statutory regulations. You will have previous payroll experience with a keen eye for detail and enjoy working within a team. This role will be varied, and you will work with numerous clients so there is a strong focus on client relationships and customer care.
You’ll make an impact by:
- Ensuring accurate and timely payroll end-to-end production for various clients in accordance with statutory regulations within payroll deadlines and requirements
- Servicing multiple clients as part of a team effort to deliver excellent service to our clients
- Managing payroll deadlines and requirements of your own personal portfolio of payroll clients
- Ensuring you have up to date knowledge of statutory and legislative regulations by attending in-house training courses
- Managing import/export of new employee and timesheet data onto the payroll platform, including:
- Starters
- Leavers
- Absences and work plans
- Variations and adjustments
- Salary changes
- Changes to benefits and allowances and different contract types
- Child Care Voucher schemes
- Pension deductions
- Processing statutory payments
- Generating payroll reports, P45s etc., using our in-house systems and Microsoft Excel
- Distributing payslips to multiple platforms
- Submitting reports to HMRC via RTI
- Managing client billing
- Ensuring procedures and key control documents are kept up to date for auditing purposes
- Any other ad hoc duties as required
- Previous payroll experience and a good understanding of payroll deadlines and requirements
- Demonstrable understanding of UK tax legislation
- Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
- Ability to prioritise workloads and be able to work to strict deadlines
- Knowledge of month-end and year-end returns and balancing
- Ability to perform manual calculations, as and when required
- Excellent attention to detail
- Clear and concise communication, both written and verbal
- An ability to work independently and as part of the wider team
- Focused on promoting client care and able to develop strong relationship with clients / support of clients
