Contract Type: Day Rate (Inside IR35 if UK based)
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead technology delivery across our Finance Consolidation and Group Reporting platforms. This role is central to establishing Primark’s standalone consolidation capability as part of a wider organisational separation making de‑merger/separation experience highly desirable.
You will manage delivery across Finance, Technology, and third‑party partners, ensuring consolidation, close, and reporting systems are robust, auditable, and ready for PLC‑level statutory deadlines. This role demands a self‑starter with exceptional stakeholder skills, confident communicating with challenging senior audiences.
What You’ll Do- Lead end‑to‑end delivery of consolidation and group reporting technology changes
- Coordinate Finance, Architecture, Engineering, and multi‑vendor delivery teams
- Manage dependencies aligned to close cycles, statutory deadlines, and IFRS requirements
- Identify and mitigate risks around data integrity, reporting accuracy, and audit readiness
- Ensure environments, integrations, access, and service readiness are in place
- Oversee transition to steady‑state operations, including vendor and support handover
- Deliver in line with governance, assurance, and PLC‑level reporting standards
- Strong background in the financial sector
- Experience setting up financial consolidation capabilities; de‑merger/separation experience ideal
- Exposure to IBM Cognos Controller (preferred)
- Strong understanding of data mapping, integrations, and reporting flows
- Exceptional stakeholder management—confident with challenging senior stakeholders
- Highly organised self‑starter able to deliver under fixed timelines and high scrutiny
- Annual reporting tools (e.g., Workiva)
- Cognos / enterprise reporting stacks
- Oracle Financials (GL, hierarchies, source data)
- File‑based and scheduled integrations supporting consolidation and reporting
You will play a key role in building Primark’s independent consolidation and reporting capability
, ensuring continuity, control, and audit‑ready outputs as we transition to a standalone PLC environment.
