We are working with a high-end, boutique group of hotels based in Reading, featuring luxury bedrooms, a spa, and a stylish cocktail bar.

As the Finance Director, you will play a critical role in managing the organisation’s financial activities, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to the senior management team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensuring daily, weekly, and monthly management reports are produced by hotel managers and management accountants for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Leading monthly P&L review meetings with the owner, and weekly payroll, rolling forecast, and credit control meetings with hotel managers and management accountants.
  • Implementing financial strategy and providing scenario analysis to support the owner in decision‑making for business opportunities.
  • Analysing and interpreting financial results, supporting the head of hotels and company directors.
  • Reviewing and approving all payments and controlling working capital.
  • Overseeing the finance department as well as the purchasing department.
  • Collaborating with the head of IT, internal auditor, commercial director, and hotel managers to improve financial reporting, business policies, and practices.
  • Establishing strong relationships with external partners (auditors, banks, suppliers, system providers).
The successful candidate
  • Fully or part-qualified ACCA or CIMA.
  • Previous hotel experience as a Head of Finance or Finance Director is essential.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
  • Knowledge of local Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), International Policies, and International Standard Operating Procedures (ISOPs).
  • Versatile, flexible, and able to work within constantly changing priorities.
