Senior Accountant Financial Reporting

Salary: £80,000 - £90,000 plus car allowance and bonus

• Lead and support a direct report, ensuring workloads are managed effectively and development is encouraged.
• Promote high standards of accuracy, accountability and continuous improvement within the team.

• Support corporate intercompany matters including transfer pricing and franchise fees

• Identify opportunities to streamline and improve intercompany processes
  .

• Prepare and post month-end journals
  , including accruals, prepayments and adjustments.
• Review financial data to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with internal controls
  .
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies and strengthen reporting processes.

• Lead preparation of audit schedules and supporting documentation
  .
• Liaise with external auditors to ensure efficient and timely statutory audits
  .
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
  .

• Perform and review detailed balance sheet reconciliations
  .
• Investigate and resolve reconciling items promptly.
• Maintain clear documentation supporting audit and internal control requirements
  .

• Monitor developments in financial regulations and accounting standards
  .
• Support improvements to financial controls, processes and reporting frameworks
  .
• Assist with the transition to enhanced compliance and reporting standards
  .

• Ensure all ONS submissions are completed accurately and on time.
• Support the wider finance team with ad-hoc analysis and projects
  .

• ACA Qualified 1-3 years PQE - ideally with some industry experience
• Experience in a senior accounting role within a corporate or audit environment
  .
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS
  .
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial systems
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
  .
• A proactive mindset with the confidence to challenge processes and drive improvements.
