Collections Officer

Reading – hybrid

£38,000 to £40,000 plus bonus and benefits

Our client is an award winning provider of asset finance offering a broad range of products to their customers. Well established and based in Reading, they are looking to recruit a Collections Officer within their Asset Finance team.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will support the Collections Manager in all collection activities within the Asset Finance Department, including arrears collection, debt recovery, sub hire audit function, and liaising with the Bank’s internal credit team and outside panel of solicitors.

Responsibilities

Actively manage daily returned payments to reduce and prevent customer debt.
Effectively manage busy workflow and identify key objectives.
Assist in monitoring the performance of the portfolio of over 6,500 live accounts.
Maintain close liaison with professional advisers, brokers, valuers, and recovery agents.
Support the Collections Manager in all collections activities within company policy guidelines and as directed by the Senior Manager.
Ensure customers are treated fairly and FCA regulations are adhered to.

Qualifications

Previous arrears or collections experience is essential, as are excellent customer service skills.
