A Finance Specialist is required to support the delivery of technical and financial activities within the Statutory Reporting & General Ledger function of our Finance team at AWE.
Responsibilities- The preparation of the Annual Report & Accounts (AR&A), compiling inputs and obtaining data, casting and review of the final accounts.
- The finance manager with 'Environmental, Social & Governance' (ESG) and 'Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures' (TCFD) reporting.
- Supporting the timely and successful completion of the AWE annual audit activity.
- Supporting the process of identifying leases under IFRS accounting standards.
- Supporting the preparation of the MOD ALB reporting and other related submissions as required.
- Supporting the continuous process improvement activity, including updating of relevant process documentation as necessary.
- A professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA etc) is desirable.
- Experience of financial accounting work.
- An understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is essential.
- Able to build effective working relationships with stakeholders across a range of teams.
- Clear, confident communicator with a collaborative approach.
- Advanced IT capability, strong systems proficiency, particularly in MS Excel.
- Demonstrates sound analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.

Package: £36,710 - £50,000 (depending on your suitability, qualifications, and level of experience),
- 9-day working fortnight - meaning you get every other Friday off work, in addition to 270 hours of annual leave.
