Finance Business Partner Manager

On behalf of AWE, we are looking for x2 Finance Business Partner Managers (Inside IR35) for a 12 month hybrid contract based out of Reading.

AWE plays a crucial role in national nuclear security. Their role in nuclear deterrence and their specialist technical assistance to nuclear threat reduction is vital in the defence against the most serious threats faced by the UK. As a Finance Business Partner Manager, your main responsibilities will be:
* Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting activities.
* Provide clear financial insight and advice to senior stakeholders and SLT.
* Build strong relationships across the business and develop a deep understanding of operational priorities.
* Partner closely with Commercial teams to support financial decision-making.
* Manage financial change control, ensuring impacts are understood and reported.
* Lead, support and mentor the Finance Business Partnering team.
* Monitor financial performance, identifying risks, opportunities and areas for improvement.
* Produce accurate reporting and communicate key financial messages up to senior leadership.

PLEASE NOTE:

SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks. Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance.

Essential:
* Advanced Excel skills and confident across Microsoft Office packages
* Strong financial analysis and numerical skills
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement
* Confident, forward-facing business partner
* Strong budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis experience
* Experience producing accurate financial reports to deadlines
* Ability to support and review business cases
* Strong understanding of financial governance and budget control
* Experience managing, mentoring and developing teams
* Ability to manage resources and competing priorities
* Strong relationship-building skills across Finance, Commercial and senior stakeholders

Desirable:
* Use financial systems to support effective planning and reporting, with Oracle Fusion experience highly desirable.
