Future Gen Recruitment is working with a leading planning consultancy in Reading seeking a Senior Town Planner to support a growing portfolio of residential-led mixed-use schemes across the Thames Valley andwider South East.
This is a business with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality planning advice, particularly on complex sites requiring careful stakeholder management and commercially grounded strategy.
The Role- Leading planning applications through to determination
- Drafting detailed Planning Statements and supporting planning strategy documents
- Negotiating with planning officers and consultees
- Representing clients at planning committee
- Supporting Local Plan representations and strategic land promotion
- Assisting with planning appeals where required
- Mentoring junior planners and supporting team delivery
- MRTPIqualified or close to achieving chartership
- Confident communicator with client-facing ability
- Strong report writing and project management skills
- Commercially minded and delivery focused
