We are currently seeking a Director, Clinical Pharmacology to join our diverse and dynamic team. As a Director, Clinical Pharmacology at ICON, you will play a pivotal role in leading the design, execution, and interpretation of early-phase clinical trial and clinical pharmacology programs to support the development of innovative therapies. You will ensure the strategic integration of pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic and safety data into clinical trial designs, driving informed decision-making and advancing therapeutic development.

Responsibilities
  • Providing strategic leadership for first-in-human, early patient and clinical pharmacology studies, including risk assessment, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and exposure–response modeling.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate optimal clinical trial design and clinical pharmacology insights into clinical development programs and trial designs.
  • Overseeing the analysis and interpretation of pharmacology data to inform dose selection, safety, and efficacy assessments.
  • Providing strategic guidance on trial design and data analysis, with awareness of modeling and simulation techniques to optimize clinical trial designs and accelerate development timelines.
  • Establishing and maintaining partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies and key opinion leaders, to ensure alignment on clinical pharmacology strategies.
Qualifications
  • Advanced degree (PhD, Pharm

    D, MD) in pharmacology, pharmaceutical sciences, or a related field.
  • Significant industry experience in Clinical Pharmacology or Clinical PK/DMPK, or leadership roles in Clinical trial conduct within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology or CRO sectors.
  • Extensive experience in clinical pharmacology, with a strong understanding of pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and modeling/simulation techniques.
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage cross-functional teams in a matrix environment.
  • Expertise in data analysis and interpretation, with understanding or hands-on experience in pharmacokinetic software (e.g., NONMEM, Win Nonlin) and statistical tools.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and drive change in a complex organization.
  • Experience working with regulatory authorities to ensure compliance and alignment on clinical pharmacology strategies.
