We are pleased to offer this exciting opportunity to come and join our team at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading. We are a GOOD rated hospital following CQC inspection and are looking to employ a highly skilled, forward‑thinking, dynamic individual as a Band 6 Hand Therapist.

- To be responsible for the efficient, effective and safe therapeutic management of patients within RBFT.
- To be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of own work, including the management of patients in your care. To ensure a high standard of clinical practice for patients under your management and to support more junior staff to do likewise.
- To receive referrals and independently assess and treat own caseload of patients, ensuring evaluation and progression of treatment programmes to a high standard, and in line with National and Trust clinical guidelines, protocols and pathways where they exist.
- To have clinical responsibility for a designated caseload of patients, and prioritise that work efficiently taking into account clinical and service priorities, using clinical knowledge to underpin decisions.
- To manage clinical risk within own clinical caseload and identify and report any risks witnessed.
- To formulate and deliver specialist individual therapy treatment programmes based on clinical knowledge of current practice, evidence based practice and treatment options, using clinical assessment and reasoning skills.
- To have knowledge of a range of treatment skills relevant to the management of patient's conditions, including transfer assessments, function, and provision of advice, education and support. To provide therapy to patients individually, or as a group.

Essential:
- NHS Experience across all core clinical areas
- Minimum 6 months experience in a Hand Therapy role
- Understanding of current evidence base
- Degree or other recognised qualification in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy
- HCPC Registered
Desirable:
- BAHT L1
- 2 years of Hand Therapy experience
- Post‑graduate Hand Therapy course
