Job Summary
We are looking for a part‑time ward clerk to help support our busy Stroke Unit. The hours will mainly be afternoons from 2.30 pm to 8 pm, with some flexibility to cover morning shifts for annual leave coverage. Prior experience as a ward clerk in a hospital would be beneficial. Knowledge of the Trust EPR system is essential.
Key Responsibilities- Provide support to the Stroke Unit, maintaining a tidy and clean environment.
- Assist with stocking up, store ordering and unpacking.
- Handle front‑line communication; strong telephone and communication skills required.
- Use the EPR system effectively to support patient care workflows.
- Flexibility to cover morning shifts as required for staff absences.
- Prior experience as a ward clerk in a hospital or similar setting.
- Proficiency in the Trust EPR system.
- High standard of computer literacy.
- Excellent communication skills, including telephone proficiency.
- Ability to work part‑time in the afternoons, with some flexibility for morning shifts.
- Experience working within a Stroke Unit.
- Knowledge of NHS policies and procedures related to patient care.
- Salary: £24,465 a year per annum, pro rata.
