Job OverviewThe Royal Berkshire Pharmacy department is passionate about developing an excellent clinical pharmacy service and is looking for enthusiastic, innovative and self‑motivated pharmacists to join our team. Working in the department, you will rotate across various specialties, engaging with the multidisciplinary clinical team to make a difference.
Main Duties- Part of the pharmacy clinical ward team delivering a high quality specialist service to patients and the MDT.
- Support development of professional and clinical leadership, management and mentoring skills.
- Lead clinical projects and support others.
- Extended rotations of 1 year with management and project opportunities in Gastroenterology & Renal medicine, ICU, Acute Admissions, Cardio‑pulmonary medicine, Children's and Women's Services, Surgery & Trauma, Care of Elderly, Education and Training.
- Current registered Member of the GPhC
- Masters Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent
- Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy (or to finish within next 3 months)
- Extensive Hospital Pharmacy Experience
- Extensive multi‑disciplinary Teamwork
- Extensive patient contact
- Ability to prioritise
- Quality Improvement projects / Service development
- Teaching and training others
- Developing guidelines
- Audit experience (desirable)
- Experience of Pharmacy computer technology (desirable)
- Risk assessment and Incident investigation (desirable)
- Presentation skills (desirable)
- Evidence of cost‑improvement projects (desirable)
