Band 6 Experienced Occupational Therapist – Paediatrics

This static post provides an exciting opportunity to join a forward‑thinking and highly valued therapy team within Paediatrics, based at Dingley Child Development Centre, University of Reading Campus.

• Autonomously manage a complex caseload of inpatient and outpatient children aged 0‑18 with a range of physical, developmental and complex neurological conditions and diagnoses.
• Provide specialist assessment and management of the caseload, including clinical assessment and treatment.
• Work as a member of the multidisciplinary team supporting the Occupational Therapy team for the Child Development Centre in conjunction with the Band 7 Occupational Therapist and Dingley Therapy Team Lead.
• Use specialist occupational therapy knowledge and clinical reasoning skills to support and advise the Paediatric Occupational Therapy team and other healthcare staff.
• Support the delivery of a high‑quality, effective and efficient paediatric Occupational Therapy service.
• Support the Therapy Management team in planning and policy development for the Paediatric Occupational Therapy team.
• Deputise for the Paediatric Band 7 Occupational Therapist as required.
