Job Overview

Activity Coordinator – Parkside Care Home, Parkside Road, Reading RG30 2DP
. Permanent contract. Work 24 hours per week covering 4 days (including some weekends). Salary £13.10 – £14.10 per hour, depending on experience. CQC rating:
Good.

• Run morning and afternoon activity sessions for residents.
• Produce and update an activity planner for the home, and manage a set activities budget.
• Organise birthday surprises for residents.
• Co‑ordinate with external companies and performers to arrange days out and events.
• Arrange one‑to‑one sessions with residents, providing tools such as reminiscence aids, puzzles, reading materials or a cup of tea and a chat.
• Support the home’s social media channels as required.

• Creative thinker with plenty of ideas.
• Experience managing budgets and maintaining accurate paperwork.
• Strong ability to prioritise tasks as they arise.
• Passion for caring for others and a sense of humour to spread enthusiasm.
