Peer Support Worker
Responsibilities
- Using your own experience of going through the Criminal Justice System, treatment, and recovery, you will support service users with vulnerabilities who are navigating the Criminal Justice System.
- You will be a positive role model, inspiring, motivating, guiding, and supporting our service users to engage with services and work on their recovery while demonstrating visible change.
- You will offer emotional and practical support to our service‑users, drawing on your lived experience of the criminal justice system and the challenges and fears it creates to help them achieve a positive future.
Berkshire Liaison & Diversion has an exciting Peer Support Worker position for a fixed term of 18 months. It is intended for a motivated and enthusiastic individual who has lived experience of the criminal justice system and a history of vulnerability such as mental health and/or substance misuse. If you are stable in your recovery journey, having demonstrated a sustained period of stability and personal growth, this could be the perfect opportunity to start a new career in care.
