You will work within the wider Physiotherapy Medicine Team with experienced senior staff and be responsible for a clinical caseload and leadership responsibilities (inc developing junior staff, students and deputising for Team Lead). Regular appraisal, supervision and support will be given and there is a requirement to actively participate in CPD. You will work alongside senior colleagues to implement new initiatives to continue to develop the service in line with best practice and clinical guidelines.

The clinician will primarily be working across the Renal and Oncology inpatient wards working closely with the MDT, whilst experience in these areas is preferrable it is not essential. Rather we are looking for an experienced clinician with transferrable skills and past experience in General Medicine, Neuro, Respiratory and Complex Caseload management.

The successful applicant will have NHS Physiotherapy experience, with a minimum of 1 year Band 6 experience (or evidence of equivalent skill) and possess excellent assessment, clinical reasoning, treatment and leadership skills. You will contribute to a rostered weekend service. You will demonstrate the Trust's values of Compassion, Aspiration, Resourcefulness and Excellence.

The post is suitable for an experienced physiotherapist with past experience in inpatient acute medicine clinical areas; as alongside the team you will be working with patients with varied, often complex conditions. In this role you will develop managerial skills by supervising junior staff and students; and also have opportunity to contribute to service development working alongside senior colleagues. The successful applicant will have NHS experience and possess excellent assessment, clinical reasoning, treatment and teaching skills.

You will have sound IT skills and demonstrate the Trust's values of Compassion, Aspiration, Resourcefulness and Excellence. Contribution to seven day working and on-call working is required of the post holder in this role.

  • Degree or other recognised qualification in Physiotherapy
  • HCPC Registered
  • NHS experience across all core clinical areas, including respiratory, Rehab experience in acute hospital
  • Up to date knowledge of research and evidence based
  • Minimum of 1 year experience at Band 6 level, Knowledge of rehabillitation
