Domiciliary Care Worker (Reading RG1,RG6,RG4,RG30)

A Domiciliary Care Worker provides care and support to people in their own homes, helping them live as independently and comfortably as possible. Clients may include older adults, people with disabilities, individuals recovering from illness, or those with long-term health conditions.

• Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Help with mobility and support clients in moving safely around their homes.
• Prepare meals and assist with eating and drinking when required.
• Provide medication reminders or assist with medication according to care plans and organisational policies.
• Carry out light household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, ironing, and shopping.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to reduce loneliness and improve wellbeing.
• Accompany clients to medical appointments, social activities, or community events when needed.
• Monitor clients' health and wellbeing, reporting any changes or concerns to supervisors or healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate care records and complete required documentation.
• Follow safeguarding, infection prevention, health and safety, and confidentiality policies at all times.
• Respect each client's dignity, privacy, independence, and cultural preferences while delivering person-centred care.
