Direct Worker

This is an external vacancy and is not employment with East Riding of Yorkshire Council.

Young man, living in Kirkella requires a P.A for 2 - 4 hours per day, Tuesday
- Friday to support him with cooking, cleaning and other light domestic support and interests. Maximum hours between 8 and 12 per week.

Gentleman has mental health requirements and need applicants to be, upbeat, honest, reliable, trustworthy, sensitive, thoughtful and calm, with a focus on good health and wellbeing.

It is desirable that candidates have some mental health experience. However, training, mentoring and support can be included.

Can be flexible with term time type working needs and/or if only some of the days care required can be met by the applicant.

DBS/Reference checks will be required for this post
- Cost to be met by the local authority.

The Direct Payments Support Service is an in-house service provided by the East Riding of Yorkshire Council. The service promotes independent choice and inclusion, allowing our service users to employ their own care and support as needed. We support many individuals with varying abilities, assisting with advertising and recruitment for a range of roles including support workers, carers and personal assistants.

This post is subject to an enhanced DBS clearance check.
