Sue Ryder's Housekeeping staff play a critical role in the operation of our hospices, contributing to the comfort, safety, and dignity of patients and their families. Their work supports the overall mission of providing compassionate, high-quality end-of-life care. This is a great opportunity to join our fantastic team of housekeeping assistants who together enable a clean, tidy and welcoming environment for both the service users and their visitors.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Maintaining the highest possible standard of cleanliness throughout the service including the laundry
- Responding to incidents that require quick, professional and discreet assistance with regards to cleaning.
- Safe storage and use of chemicals
- To record all information required in line with Health and safety, compliance

We're looking for dedicated Housekeeping Assistants to join our team and help us provide exceptional service to our patients, families, and staff. Our ideal candidate will have experience as housekeeper in a care or hospital setting and will have the knowledge to be able to work on their own initiative as well as working collaboratively as part of a wider team.
EssentialMinimum Criteria:
- Experience providing cleaning services in a healthcare or similar setting
- Ability to follow infection control procedures and safety protocols with flexibility
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to supporting a safe, accessible, and dignified environment
- Experience in a healthcare or infection-controlled environment
- Training in COSHH and manual handling
