The RoleWe are seeking a Freelance & Event Recruitment Specialist to join our Internal Recruitment team. Reporting to the Recruitment Manager, you will focus on sourcing, attracting and retaining a pool of high-quality freelance and temporary event staff. This includes (but not limited to) Event Managers, hospitality staff, driving instructors, coordinators, set-up/strike crews and more. You will work proactively to establish localised talent pools to reduce reliance on travel or overnight stays, ensuring a seamless flow of freelance and temporary staff for our events across our 24 UK venues.
Thisrole involves
- Office-based 5 days per week at Dunsfold Park, Monday to Friday.
- Close collaboration with the Recruitment Manager, owning Everyman temp recruitment campaigns, focusing on freelancer/temp recruitment for our live events.
- Managing a full recruitment lifecycle for freelance and temporary event roles.
- Building and maintaining localised recruitment pools of high-quality, vetted candidates.
- Developing strategies to attract, engage, and retain top freelance talent for live events.
- Monitoring and reporting on recruitment activity and workforce planning needs.
- Source and attract high calibre freelance and temporary staff across multiple event roles.
- Manage job postings, applications, and candidate communications from initial enquiry to onboarding.
- Establish and maintain localised talent pools to minimise travel and accommodation requirements for staff.
- Build relationships with potential candidates, maintaining regular contact to ensure engagement and retention.
- Assist the Recruitment Manager with permanent recruitment as required.
- Collaborate with event operations teams to understand upcoming staffing requirements.
- Track recruitment KPIs, maintain accurate candidate records, and provide regular reporting to management.
- Support Operations department compliance with right-to-work, reference, and other pre-employment checks for freelance and temp staff.
- Proven experience in recruitment, with a focus on temporary, freelance or live event staff.
- Self-sufficient, proactive, and highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to attract, engage and retain high-quality candidates.
- Ability to manage multiple temporary and freelance vacancies and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of recruitment best practice, employment law and freelance/agency staff regulations.
- Experience working with applicant tracking systems or CRM tools preferred.
- Comfortable working in an office-based role with occasional onsite event support.
