An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Learning & Development professional to take ownership of a broad L&D remit within a growing technology-focused organisation.
This is a hands-on role with genuine autonomy and visibility. You’ll work closely with managers, senior leaders and specialist teams to develop leadership capability, strengthen technical skills, improve onboarding and help employees see a clear path for their career development.

What You'll Be Doing
* Lead and develop manager and leadership development programmes.
* Coach managers on feedback, performance conversations, goal setting, one-to-ones and probation.
* Conduct training needs analysis and create role-based development plans across specialist teams.
* Support the ongoing upskilling of technical, operational, engineering, software and field-based employees.
* Design and embed a structured 30/60/90-day onboarding programme.
* Help employees and managers understand and navigate career pathways and progression opportunities.
* Drive development plan coverage across the organisation and support succession planning.
* Use talent mapping to identify individuals who would benefit from targeted development.
* Introduce and develop stay interviews to understand employee engagement and retention.
* Measure the effectiveness of L&D activity using people data, HR systems and agreed performance metrics.
* Source and manage external training providers where required.
* Work closely with HR and wider stakeholders to continuously improve the employee development experience.
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience in a Learning & Development role, ideally covering both leadership development and technical/role-based training.
* Experience designing and delivering training needs analysis, development programmes, onboarding and manager coaching.
* CIPD Level 5 in Learning & Development or People Practice, or equivalent experience.
* Strong facilitation, coaching and stakeholder management skills.
* Comfortable working with people data and HR systems to identify priorities and demonstrate impact.
* A proactive, hands-on approach with the confidence to work autonomously.
* The ability to build credibility with managers and senior stakeholders.
Desirable
* Experience with in technology, engineering, defence, regulated or security-cleared environments.
* Experience supporting shift-based or 24/7 work forces.
* Coaching qualification.
* Experience with talent mapping, succession planning or career frameworks.
* Experience implementing group-wide L&D programmes within a smaller business or subsidiary.
