We are seeking a Business Development Director to lead new business growth across the UK Banking and Insurance markets
, with a strong emphasis on nearshoring and offshoring-led delivery models
. This is a senior, strategic role with full accountability for revenue growth, executive client relationships, and go-to-market strategy within the private sector.
As a member of the UK leadership team, you will position Cegeka as a trusted partner for IT Team Extension and Application Delivery services, articulating the commercial, operational, and regulatory value of blended on-shore, near-shore, and off-shore delivery models to senior financial services stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Own and deliver revenue targets across UK Banking and Insurance accounts
- Build and maintain a high-quality pipeline focused on scalable, multi-year engagements
- Identify and close complex sales opportunities leveraging nearshore and offshore delivery to drive value, efficiency, and speed to market
- Build trusted relationships with C-suite and senior technology, procurement, and commercial leaders
- Act as a senior advisor on sourcing strategy, capacity augmentation, and delivery optimisation
- Confidently articulate the governance, risk, and compliance considerations of nearshore and offshore models within regulated environments
- Define account and sector strategies aligned to Cegeka’s global delivery capabilities
- Lead complex deal structuring, pricing, and commercial negotiations involving blended delivery teams
- Ensure solutions balance cost efficiency, quality, resilience, and regulatory requirements
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing sales and accounts focused on financial services
- Drive disciplined forecasting, CRM adoption, and pipeline governance
- Provide regular commercial reporting and insight to the UK MD
- Represent Cegeka as a senior voice in nearshore and offshore delivery within Banking and Insurance
- Partner with marketing to develop sector-specific propositions and thought leadership
- Strengthen Cegeka’s market presence through industry forums and executive engagement
- Significant senior sales leadership experience within IT services, consulting, or professional services
- Proven success selling nearshore and offshore IT delivery models to Banking and Insurance clients
- Strong track record in IT Team Extension and Application Delivery sales
- Deep understanding of regulated financial services environments and sourcing governance
- Ownership of large, complex, multi-year deals involving distributed delivery teams
- Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and executive presence
- Strategic, commercially driven leader with a hands-on approach
- Credible at board and executive level
- Comfortable shaping new markets and driving growth in a scaling organisation
- Experience working with Tier 1 or Tier 2 UK banks and insurance providers
- Background in right-shoring strategy design (on-shore, near-shore, off-shore)
- Experience with in IT contract recruitment or blended professional services environments
