Change Manager, IT​/Tech

We are seeking a Change Manager to join a high-profile cyber and defence programme. This is a key governance position within a complex IT landscape, where structure, control, and operational stability are paramount.

As IT Change Management Manager, you will own and lead the end-to-end change life cycle across a secure IT environment. Your focus will be to minimise risk, protect service availability, and ensure all changes are delivered in a controlled, compliant, and well-governed manner.

You will work closely with service owners, IT operations, and senior stakeholders - leading Change Approval Boards (CAB), assessing risk, and embedding best practice change governance across the organisation.

• Manage the full IT Change Management life cycle (log, assess, authorise, implement, review)
• Conduct detailed risk and impact assessments across infrastructure and services
• Organise and chair CAB meetings
• Oversee change scheduling and stakeholder communications
• Monitor KPIs including change success rates, failed changes, and emergency changes
• Lead post-implementation reviews and drive continuous improvement
• Ensure compliance with IT governance standards and regulatory requirements

• Active SC Clearance
• 5+ years' experience in IT service delivery and performance management
• Strong ITIL knowledge and experience operating within ITSM frameworks
• Experience setting and managing SLAs/KPIs
• Strong understanding of ITSM platforms (eg Service Now)
• Good understanding of IT infrastructure (Servers, networks, core technology components)
• Confident leading governance forums such as CAB
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• ITIL v3/v4 certification
• PMP or other project management certifications
• Experience with in defence, cyber, or highly regulated environments
• Strong analytical capability and familiarity with service monitoring tools
