Our client is looking for an experienced Data Solutions Architect to play a pivotal role in transforming and modernising its enterprise data landscape. Working across business and technology teams, you'll help define how critical data flows through multiple platforms, ensuring consistency, quality and scalability while supporting ongoing digital transformation.

This is an excellent opportunity for an architect who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with practical delivery. You'll have the autonomy to influence architecture decisions while working closely with delivery teams to ensure designs become reality.

In this position, you'll have the opportunity to:

• Take ownership of enterprise-wide data models and relationship mapping across multiple business systems.
• Shape high-level architecture that supports modern reporting and analytics capabilities.
• Design scalable data management and data assurance solutions that improve quality and governance.
• Translate complex business challenges into clear technical architecture and solution designs.
• Review and guide detailed technical designs, ensuring consistency from concept through to implementation.
• Evaluate technology options and recommend solutions that balance business value with technical excellence.
• Work alongside delivery, engineering and business stakeholders to influence key technology decisions.
• Contribute to future roadmaps and help shape long-term data strategy.

We're looking for someone who has experience in many of the following areas. If you don't tick every box but have transferable experience, we'd still encourage you to apply.

• Data Solution Architecture or Solution Design within complex enterprise environments.
• Designing enterprise data models and improving existing data landscapes.
• Data integration, data governance and data quality initiatives.
• Modern cloud data platforms such as Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Databricks or Snowflake.
• SQL and strong understanding of database design principles.
• Producing high-level solution designs and supporting delivery through implementation.
• Working collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Driving architecture best practice across multiple projects.

It would also be beneficial if you've worked with cloud-based reporting platforms, data lakes, enterprise integration, or hold architecture or data certifications such as TOGAF, Microsoft Azure or DAMA CDMP.
