SAP Business One Functional Consultant — Reading / Hybrid

Location: Reading (hybrid — typically 1–2 days on-site with a comfortable commute across the Thames Valley and M4 corridor; easy reach from Bracknell, Basingstoke, Wokingham and West London)

Salary: £48,000 – £62,000 DOE + bonus + benefits

About the role:

We are working with a well-established SAP Business One partner serving ambitious mid-market clients across manufacturing, distribution and professional services. As a Functional Consultant you will own client relationships from blueprint through to go-live and hypercare, translating real business processes into clean, well-configured SAP Business One solutions. This is a role for someone who enjoys being the trusted expert in the room and wants variety across sectors and projects rather than a single in-house system.

Key Responsibilities:

You will run requirements-gathering workshops, configure SAP Business One across finance, sales, purchasing and inventory modules, and lead data migration, testing and user training. You will build and refine reports and queries, support integrations with e-commerce, EDI and third-party add-ons, and provide structured hypercare after each go-live. Throughout, you will act as the bridge between client stakeholders and the technical team, keeping projects on scope and on schedule.

What s We re Looking For:

Proven hands-on experience implementing or supporting SAP Business One across core modules is essential. Strong SQL and Crystal Reports skills are highly valued, and exposure to SAP B1 on HANA, Boyum B1UP, EDI or e-commerce integrations will set you apart. We are looking for someone who has owned full project life cycles, communicates clearly with non-technical stakeholders, and brings the problem-solving instinct and collaborative mindset that distinguishes top consultants.

Partner-side or end-to-end implementation experience is a strong advantage.
