This contract opportunity is ideal for an experienced OT Cybersecurity professional who thrives on solving safety‐critical challenges and guiding complex, regulated transformation programmes. You’ll be working within a world‐leading nuclear environment, ensuring digital resilience across industrial control systems.
Location and Working Pattern This role is on-site at AWE, Reading. Given the level of clearance required, on-site presence is essential to meet project and security requirements.
Client Overview Our client is a leading organisation operating in the nuclear and defence sectors, delivering vital national security programmes supported by advanced engineering and cyber expertise.
Responsibilities
* Lead the design and implementation of secure OT / ICS cybersecurity architectures.
* Conduct and oversee cybersecurity risk assessments and assurance activities.
* Apply industry and regulatory standards, including IEC 62443, NCSC CAF, NIS Regulations, and ONR Security Assessment Principles.
* Support security accreditation processes and liaise with regulators and senior stakeholders.
* Provide technical leadership across OT cybersecurity initiatives.
* Contribute to bids, solution development, and client relationship growth across CNI, nuclear, and defence sectors.
Must‐have Requirements
* Significant experience in OT / ICS cybersecurity, architecture, and risk management.
* Expert understanding of IEC 62443, NCSC CAF, NIS Regulations, and ONR SAPs.
* Proven background within safety‐critical, regulated, or high‐hazard environments.
* Demonstrable consulting experience with strong client‐facing and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Active UK DV clearance (essential).
