We are working with a well‑established law firm in Reading that advises a high‑quality client base across the Thames Valley and wider South East.
The firm is seeking a Family Paralegal to support a busy and well‑regarded Family team across a broad range of private family matters. This role offers hands‑on exposure to high‑quality work, including divorce, financial remedies, and children matters, making it an excellent opportunity for a Family Paralegal looking to develop within a supportive and reputable firm with clear long‑term progression.
FirmThe successful Family Paralegal will be joining a respected regional firm known for its client‑focused approach and strong presence within the Thames Valley market. The Family Paralegal will support a team of experienced Partners and Solicitors, assisting on sensitive and complex family law matters from instruction through to conclusion.
RoleAs a Family Paralegal, you will work closely with the Family team, gaining exposure to the full life cycle of private family matters.
- Supporting on private family matters including divorce, financial remedy, and children proceedings.
- Drafting correspondence, statements, and supporting documentation for court applications.
- Preparing and managing court bundles and ensuring compliance with court deadlines.
- Filing applications and documents with the Family Court and liaising with court staff.
- Managing case files, diaries, and deadlines across multiple matters.
- Acting as a point of contact for clients, providing professional and empathetic support.
- Conducting legal research as required and assisting with general team administration.
- A strong and consistent academic background, ideally supported by a law degree or relevant legal qualifications.
- Previous experience within family law, either as a paralegal, legal assistant, or similar role.
- Excellent drafting and document production skills with strong attention to detail.
- The ability to manage sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A proactive and supportive approach to working within a team.
- Competitive market salary from £28,000 to £34,000 per annum, dependant on experience
