The Best Connection Reading are currently recruiting a Yard Operative to join a reputable and well-established builders' merchant based in Caversham
.

This role is offered on a temporary-to-permanent basis

Location - Caversham

• Pay rate - £12.60
• Working days - Monday to Friday
• Hours - 7am - 4.30pm
• Breaks - 1 hour unpaid lunch break

• Working outdoors in all weather conditions, supporting daily yard operations
• Providing customer service by assisting customers with queries and orders
• Receiving deliveries and accurately logging all incoming goods
• Supporting stock checks and ensuring inventory is correctly recorded
• Safely loading and unloading materials, ensuring correct handling procedures are followed
• Maintaining a clean, tidy, and well‑organised yard environment
• Adhering to all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working site for staff and customers

• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Be physically fit and capable of lifting 25kg+
• Enjoy working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
