Drainage Engineer

Join Home Serve as a Drainage Engineer and play a vital role in keeping our customers’ homes running smoothly.

• Location: Reading
• Salary: £37,220 - £41,810 (depending on experience) + £1,500 guaranteed bonus in your first year
• Hours: You will average 40 hours per week (including evenings, weekends and bank holidays)

As a Drainage Engineer, you’ll be working in customer’s homes diagnosing and resolving drainage issues.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Clearing blockages using high-pressure water jetting (HPWJ) equipment
• Investigating drainage problems and identifying root causes
• Carrying out repairs to domestic drainage systems
• Managing jobs independently while delivering excellent customer service
• Representing Home Serve in customers’ homes with professionalism and care

What we’re looking for

• HPWJ (High Pressure Water Jetting) ticket
• Full UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points)
• Ability to work independently and solve problems on site
• A positive, proactive approach to your work

We’ll give you everything you need to succeed from day one:

• Week 1: Classroom-based induction Monday to Friday at our Walsall Head Office
• Week 2: On-the-job training alongside an experienced Home Serve Drainage Engineer

(Where required, we will pay for your accommodation and meal allowance for your induction).
