The APS Projects and Design Team are specialists in workplace strategy, interior design, business relocation, office fit out and refurbishment. We operate throughout the UK, working for a diverse range of clients within the commercial office market. We design and build inspirational work spaces. We also deliver office moves and relocation services to our varied client base.

We are looking for dynamic, organised, customer focused people to join our team. As a Project Manager - Fit out & Refurbishment within APS Projects and Design, you will work collaboratively within our team to support the planning and delivery of varied range of projects for office fit outs and refurbishments.

As Project Manager – Fit Out & Refurbishment
, you will lead and manage all activities in relation to the management of allocated projects and assist the wider team in developing new business opportunities. The role requires excellent communication skills and clear decision making with a good comprehensive knowledge of the APS Projects & Design Team’s business activities and service offering. This critical, client‑facing role encompasses the delivery of key business objectives, financial management and control, and the hands‑on daily operational management of existing and new fit out and refurbishment contracts.

Ideal

Candidate
  • Recognised qualification in project management and/or a building‑related discipline.
  • Extensive experience of managing interior fit out and refurbishment projects.
  • Experience in front‑line customer management.
  • Experience and ability to effectively manage key accounts and deliver business targets.
  • Experience of working in a pressurised, results focused, service environment safely.
  • Ability to develop and implement innovative service delivery in line with strategic business objectives.
  • Ability to present effectively to client senior management teams and operation contract staff.
  • Ability to make decisions and bring clarity to difficult situations.
  • Ability to work well with others and continue to deliver results under pressure, safely.
  • Successful interpersonal skills and an ability to establish credibility quickly.
  • Working knowledge of project management systems and methodology and have the ability to implement these throughout the delivery process.
  • Control and manage a project from engagement through to successful completion with subcontractors, clients and internal teams.
  • Detailed knowledge of interior finishes, construction techniques, interior fit out solutions and regulatory standards.
  • Experience in managing and coordinating multiple construction trades on site whilst delivering to tight deadlines.
  • Must have a valid UK driving license and access to their own personal vehicle.

We’ll make sure that you have everything you need to do a great job. You may ideally already have project management experience gained in a similar role, within a fast‑paced, client‑led environment.

You will work 37.5 hours per week with some flexibility required, with access to Apleona employee benefits that will be available to you as soon as you start including a monthly car allowance.
