Regional SHEQ Manager

About The Role

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Regional Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Manager at Sunbelt Rentals UK. You’ll be responsible for supporting the development of our Environment, Health and Safety culture in your region. As Regional Manager, you’ll be as passionate about SHEQ as we are and understand its importance for our colleagues and customers.

• Support and assess your region, ensuring we remain legally compliant
• Encourage continual improvement by proactive support as well as thorough investigation following accidents and incidents
• Develop relationships with internal stakeholders and customers offering proactive support and guidance
• Give guidance and support to the business in maintaining external accreditations
• Lead and report on scheduled internal and external customer audits and observational reports
• Undertake Fire Risk Assessments, Asbestos Surveys & Tank/Oil Storage Surveys

This role covers the London and South East region.

To be successful in the SHEQ Manager role you will likely be in a similar regional position. A history of equipment rental or construction industries is preferable. You will be comfortable working under pressure to tight deadlines whilst still maintaining a professional and approachable manner. You will effectively represent the business to customers and external federations in all situations and comfortably work as part of a wider team.

• A relevant Health and Safety qualification; NVQ 4 or equivalent
• Hold membership of the Institute of Occupational Safety & Health
• A good understanding of SHEQ management systems and improvement processes
• The ability to communicate at all levels including presentations to senior management
• Excellent IT skills including all Microsoft products
• A full driving licence

This is a regional role across a wide geographical area. Flexibility and a willingness to travel extensively including overnight stays is therefore essential.
