- To stand up and lead the end-to-end inspection and maintenance service for a national infrastructure estate, ensuring third-party suppliers deliver safe, high-quality, value-for-money outcomes at scale.
- This is the accountable owner of inspection, planned maintenance, and reactive field service delivery — shaping the service, leading the transition, and then running it
- You will set up and lead the end-to-end Inspection & Maintenance service for a national infrastructure estate, ensuring third-party suppliers deliver safe, high-quality, value-for-money outcomes at scale.
- As the accountable service owner, you will shape the operating model, lead the transition into go-live, and then run the service day-to-day —
covering inspections, planned maintenance, and reactive field response. - The Inspection & Maintenance programme is central to effective infrastructure management
, providing regular condition assessments of the network estate and delivering the maintenance activity arising from those inspections. - This is a senior leadership role managing a team of six, with full responsibility for performance, development, and engagement. You will also act as the primary interface with the Managed Service Provider and wider supply chain, building strong partnerships, ensuring seamless integration, and holding delivery to account.
- Own inspection programmes, planned maintenance, and reactive field service (RTO/faults)
- Lead supplier performance across time, quality, safety, and cost
- Mobilise and transition the service into go-live, embedding operating model, controls, and cadence
- Oversee delivery of ~30,000 work items per year and ~£20m annual spend
- Ensure robust planning, incident prioritisation, QA, defect management, and commercial control
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and supplier delivery experience
- Background in large infrastructure, engineering, construction, or asset management
- Experience with service management processes (e.g., ITIL) and governance-led delivery
- Ability to manage high-volume delivery, commercial controls, and project finance
- MEICA knowledge and experience with Remedy / Site Tracker (desirable)
