As Commercial Director, you will define and drive the commercial future of Porsche Retail Group, leading the development and execution of a group-wide strategy that delivers sustainable growth, exceptional brand representation, and full alignment with Porsche Cars GB’s strategic, regulatory, and customer experience standards.

You will provide executive leadership across sales, aftersales, marketing, business development, and commercial compliance, ensuring consistent performance, robust governance, and premium brand excellence across all Porsche Retail Group Centres. As a key member of the senior leadership team, you will shape long-term value creation, elevate customer lifetime value, and champion disciplined, high-performing commercial execution across the group.

Scope:
  • Dealerships: 7 Porsche Centres across the Southeast of England
  • Business Areas:
    New Car Sales, Pre‑Owned Sales, Aftersales (Service, Parts, Warranty, Bodyshop, Insurance), Marketing, Business Development, Commercial Compliance
  • Key Interfaces:
    Managing Director, Executive Committee members, Head of Finance, HR Director, Centre Principals, Porsche Cars GB Regional and Functional Leadership Teams
  • Direct Reports: (5) Head of Marketing, Head of Business Development, Head of Compliance, Head of Aftersales, Head of Sales
Responsibilities:
  • Define and deliver the long‑term commercial strategy aligned with Porsche global and UK objectives.
  • Contribute to Executive Committee leadership, board‑level decision‑making, and governance.
  • Translate OEM strategy, volume targets, and brand initiatives into high‑impact retail execution.
  • Lead business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long‑term commercial vision.
  • Oversee sales, aftersales, and revenue performance, ensuring balanced growth and margin optimisation.
  • Uphold premium pricing, product mix discipline, and consistent Porsche brand representation.
  • Elevate customer journey, sales processes, and ownership experience across all Centres.
  • Own group marketing, brand, CRM, and customer experience strategy to maximise customer lifetime value.
  • Identify and drive network development opportunities, including new sites and capacity expansion.
  • Ensure compliance with FCA regulation, Consumer Duty, data protection, and Porsche governance.
  • Provide strategic leadership to commercial, sales, and aftersales teams, fostering a high‑performance culture.
  • Champion PRG values while driving colleague engagement, capability development, and succession planning.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Senior commercial leadership experience within premium automotive retail or luxury brand environments
  • Proven track record of delivering multi‑site commercial performance, translating strategic vision into consistent results
  • Experience with leading large, multi‑site teams through growth and change and a strong understanding of franchise partner models and OEM governance structures.
  • Deep knowledge of FCA regulation, Consumer Duty, and compliance frameworks.
  • Strategic, data‑led decision maker with strong financial acumen and pricing discipline.
  • Proven experience leveraging CRM, customer data, and customer lifetime value to drive retention and profitability.
  • Strong appreciation of Porsche heritage, brand values, and customer expectations.
  • Strong understanding of franchise partner models and OEM governance structures.
  • Collaborative, disciplined, and governance‑focused leadership style.
  • Full UK driving license and willingness to travel regularly between sites
Desirable

Qualifications:
  • Board‑level or executive committee experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Automotive Retail Management.
  • Manufacturer Leadership Programme graduate.
  • IMI Accreditation (e.g. IMI Level 5 Award in Automotive Management or equivalent).
  • Experience supporting electrification, digital retailing, and omnichannel sales models.
  • Previous experience working directly with Porsche, luxury OEMs, or wholly owned retail networks.
  • Experience supporting network expansion, acquisition, or major facility redevelopment projects.
  • Formal executive, board, or governance training.
