Future Gen Recruitment is representing a leading consultancy seeking a Planning Director to lead and expand its Reading/Thames Valley operation. This is a senior leadership appointment offering significant autonomy, responsibility and the opportunity to shape the strategic direction of a successful planning team. The Planning Director will drive business growth, secure major client relationships and oversee delivery of high-profile planning projects across residential and commercial sectors.

As Planning Director, your responsibilities will extend well beyond project delivery.

• Leading the Thames Valley business growth strategy
• Developing and expanding major client relationships
• Winning new work across strategic housing, regeneration and commercial sectors
• Managing senior planning staff and building a high-performing team
• Overseeing operational performance and regional P&L responsibility
• Leading major planning appeals and Local Plan examinations
• Actingas a visible leader within the regional property market
• Ensuring delivery quality and maintaining the firm’s planning reputation

This is a role for someone who enjoys leading from the front— commercially minded, technically strong and confident operating atboard-level with clients.

• Proven record of winning and delivering major planning instructions
• Strong commercial acumen and financial management experience
• Experience leading teams, mentoring senior staff and shaping growth strategy
