We're looking for a proactive and people focused Meter Reading Team Manager to lead a team of Data Collectors across a defined geographical area. In this role, you'll provide day to day operational management, support the Field Manager, and drive the performance needed to achieve key business objectives.
The role will involve regular travel across the UK, and you'll also take part in a standby rota, including some evening and weekend work.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities- Support and direct the activities of team members, hold communication meetings and briefings and conduct annual dialogues and plan team career and development
- Assist in developing and implementing communication and resourcing plans
- Monitor, control and report on operational performance and service levels and give feedback to the team
- Equip the team with adequate tools and equipment to perform their work efficiently and effectively.
- Identify ongoing training needs for the team, ensure that training records are maintained and deliver training where appropriate
- Control costs of field operations and identifies areas for improvement and efficiencies.
- Contribute to process / business improvement initiatives and shares best practice and information within the Company.
- Investigate and resolve complaints by providing first line technical support.
- Raises issues appropriately to the Field Manager.
