PURPOSE

Lead and grow the Airport BU MSI service practice, working collaboratively with GEOs and key SITA business areas and stakeholders to achieve the commercial performance targets (sales, revenue, margin) and strategic development of the MSI business. Operating at the intersection of business leadership, commercial governance, and integration the role is responsible for shaping demand early, accelerating high‑quality MSI pipeline growth, and positioning SITA as the trusted partner for integrating complex, multi‑vendor airport ecosystems.

The Director MSI leads the MSI Centre of Excellence (CoE) team and works collaboratively and in close partnership with GEO and key SITA business areas to identify, shape, and secure MSI opportunities while ensuring consistent and disciplined approaches to solution design, bidding, and programme delivery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • MSI Market Development & Performance Leadership: Lead the development of the MSI growth strategy by aligning pipeline priorities with GEO teams and key SITA business areas, supporting opportunity development, and providing executive visibility on MSI pipeline performance, market opportunities, and strategic progress.
  • Market Shaping & Early Engagement: Work closely with GEO teams and key SITA business areas to drive early engagement with airports, designers, and other key industry stakeholders to shape complex airport programmes and position SITA for MSI opportunities prior to formal procurement.
  • Customer Engagements & Win Strategy: Provide support to and work with GEOs on customer engagements and bids to drive MSI sales and revenue and establish structured MSI frameworks, benchmarking, and commercial discipline that improves bid quality, strengthens win strategies, and increases probability of success.
  • Strategic Programme Support: Support GEO teams on priority airport programmes by providing MSI expertise, solution leadership, and integration strategy to improve delivery confidence, strengthen programme governance, and reduce execution risk.
  • MSI Capability & Knowledge Leadership: Establish and maintain the global MSI knowledge framework, including methodologies, architectures, standards, and reusable assets that enable consistent, high‑quality programme design and delivery across regions.
  • Ecosystem & Industry Positioning: Develop and manage strategic partnerships with designers, constructors, architects and technology providers to strengthen the MSI ecosystem and enhance SITA’s market positioning in complex airport transformation programmes. Support to position SITA as a recognised authority in airport MSI in industry forums, airport engagements, and strategic discussions.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
  • 10+ years’ experience leading complex technology, integration, consulting, or infrastructure programmes
  • Experience supporting large‑scale infrastructure or airport development/transformation programmes (greenfield or major expansion)
  • Demonstrated experience shaping opportunities and supporting successful pursuit of large, complex bids
  • Proven ability to engage and influence senior executives and stakeholders across global markets
  • Experience operating in multi‑vendor, multi‑stakeholder programme environments
  • Experience managing strategic partnerships and ecosystem relationships across technology, construction, and consulting partners
